T2laser, lightburn for who dont need more then a simple and effective tool. Like, Muse/Beambox/LaserBox/etc lose all major points because I'd have to use their dumbed-down software. LaserGRBL is one of the best Windows software for image Laser Engraving. I mean, I honestly believe that being able to use LightBurn is one of the major selling points for Chinese machines. I think it's reasonably priced for being well-written niche software. Well, it's not that cheap, but I have paid more for some games (and fricking soundtracks). After you finish with your design, LightBurn sends your finished graphics directly to your laser engraver for seamless creating. So, unless you want some new features, there won't be much of a reason to upgrade. So, updates are quite a bit more important with these.Īs far as I can tell, support for Gcode controllers has been pretty much perfect for quite a while. With the less well-supported TopWisdom (TL) controllers, a lot of progress was made in the last few months and future updates will likely improve some things like rotary support. (This looks like the route I'll probably will take.) If you got, for example, one of the popular Ruida controllers and if you're fine with the current feature set, you could just use the same version till the end of times.
